          ATV Oil

          1. Does Valvoline ATV oil meet SG, SH, SJ API service classifications?

Valvoline ATV 4-Stroke SAE 10w40 motor oil meets these specs as well as the JASO MA specification for wet-clutch applications.

          2. Is Valvoline ATV oil a synthetic?

Valvoline 4-Stroke ATV motor oil is not a synthetic. Valvoline does not offer a synthetic ATV oil.

          3. Why should I use an oil made specifically for my ATV or motorcycle instead of just using automotive motor oil?

The American Petroleum Institute (API) requires motor oils meeting the current SL/SM standards for gasoline engines to contain increased levels of friction modifiers. Our tests show that these oils can cause excessive clutch wear with wet clutch applications (e.g., ATVs). That's why Valvoline designed oils specifically for these applications.
